Family Physicians:
Are involved in all aspects of primary care. The  TW FHT family physicians also act as mentors to medical students, medical residents and nurse practitioner students.

Amita Singwi (BEd., M.D., CCFP) is a full-time family physician at the Toronto Western Family Health Team. She has an interest in Women's Health and Global Health. As a member of the Obstetrical Care Program she has an interest in low risk obstetrics -delivering babies at Mount Sinai Hospital.  She completed her medical school training at the University of Ottawa and her residency training at The University of Toronto. She currently serves on the Undergraduate Electives Coordinator at the Department of Family and Community Medicine, University of Toronto.
