Our Family Health Team has partnered with the Ottawa Model for Smoking Cessation (OMSC) to support you in your journey to quit smoking. This program is designed to help nicotine users reduce or quit their usage.
Whether you smoke tobacco or use e-cigarettes, we offer assistance to help you reduce or quit your nicotine use. Smoking Cessation Counsellors provide individual, one-to-one counselling sessions. We encourage, assist, and educate patients in a supportive, non-judgmental environment. You can choose whether you prefer in-person, virtual or phone appointments.

I was a pack a day smoker after having started in high school and now living in my mid-fifties. I never imagined that I could actually quit, even though I wanted to, mentally several times throughout the years. However the physical addiction and habitual occurrences made it a real struggle. Finally the right combination of my own personal will power and correct medications have removed that sickness from my life. (May 2025)
I quit! Jadie was an amazing support. I was ready to quit but was overwhelmed and didn't know how it could make it happen. Jadie have me the tools and drive I needed. Thank you! (March 2025)
I started smoking when I was 16 years old and it was ridiculous how much I was smoking. It's been 14 years of heavy smoking and this program was the only thing that was able to help me toss it. You need to WANT to quit, being forced into it won't work in my opinion, but these pills took my cravings away almost 100% - its amazing and life changing. I am now 5 and a half months smoke free! The Smoking Cessation Program at TW FHT, and especially my smoking cessation counsellor Patty, were amazing, and I successfully quit (now more than 6 months) after failing repeatedly in the past. (October 2024)
TW FHT provided me with the care I needed to quit cigarettes. I received unmatched advice, knowledge, free tools and products, and more importantly a caring person who never gave up on me even when I had relapses. I owe my smoke-free/qualitative life to TW FHT and their capable and competent team!(September 2024)
