The Senior Health Series is a new collection of educational and interactive sessions designed to help older adults stay healthy, informed, and confident in managing their physical and mental well‑being. These workshops focus on providing practical tools, reliable information, and supportive guidance to help you live well as you age.
This series is part of our commitment to improving care for older adults by sharing best practices, strengthening independence, and connecting patients with the supports that matter most.
What You will Learn
Our workshops cover a wide range of important topics for aging well, including:
Physical Health
Preventing falls and staying steady on your feet
Eating well and supporting heart and bone health
Maintaining mobility and managing chronic conditions
Mental Health
Coping with anxiety, low mood, and stress
Keeping your mind active and healthy
Building social connections and reducing isolation
Navigating Your Health Care
Understanding Ontario’s health system
Accessing community programs, benefits, and supports
Staying safe with medications and planning ahead for care
Who Can Attend?
These workshops are for TW FHT patients only.
Recommended for patients aged 65 and older, but individuals of other ages are welcome to participate.
When & Where
Workshops run every Wednesday from 1:30 to 3:30 pm*, from March to April 2026.
Format: In‑person
Location: Offered at either Bathurst or Garrison Creek, TW FHT sites
Session length: 1.5 to 2 hours (90 to 120 minutes)
Facilitators: Interdisciplinary team from TW FHT including nursing, physician, pharmacists, dietitians, social workers, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, and chiropodist
*With the exception of Living Well as We Age, which will be offered from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm
